Kitchens can be one of the best renovation investments in the value of your home, which means the size your investment matters. Simple face lifts that involve keeping existing cabinets, and changing only counter tops, backsplashes and color schemes are going to be faster and less expensive. More ambitious kitchen builds can also be home runs for the value of your home, but your expectations for these projects are probably better based on your enjoyment and use of the space.
Luckily for our customers at Fielding Construction, we get that part and have the skills and craftsmanship to upgrade kitchens in a variety of styles….and a big part of our “respect” for our customers includes going through all the details before we start:
- Are you going to freshen the space or create something totally new? – All good work begins from the inside out, so we focus on how deep the demolition needs to be for every upgrade.
- Will we be coordinating with other trades? – At the next level up, cabinet suppliers, appliance suppliers, specialty back splash materials and plumbers may be part of the team
- It’s all about the finishes – You will be using your kitchen every day, and we understand attention to detail on the workspace finishes are important
- Think in three dimension – There’s more to a modern kitchen than just throwing in a new island and we encourage our customers to think creatively about spaces that channel traditional ideas like butler pantries and closets

STEP ONE
Meet for an estimate.
STEP TWO
If we are in agreeance with the terms of the estimate, we meet for another walk thru to define the details of your project. Pick a start date and depending on the scope of your project we sign a contract with 5% down to lock your project in for scheduling.
STEP THREE
2-3 weeks prior to start date 25-45% of the payment is due as defined in your estimate. This will ensure materials are ordered and ready when we begin your project.
STEP FOUR
As stages of the project are completed to your satisfaction, percentages of payments must be made as defined in the estimate. With the final payment received at the completion of your project.
Kitchen can involve large material costs, including counter tops, appliances and venting, as well as cabinets and sinks. Installations can include such bulks as disposable building tools, lumber, hardware and labor, and potentially include tile, mortar, grout, rough plumbing materials, paint and many others. We do our best to include everything in our estimates, whether doing a cosmetic kitchen upgrade or a gut renovation.
Depending on dimensions of the space and amount of work, kitchen projects can range from a week to a month to complete the project.
It begins with our customers sending us a text or email. We charge an estimating fee for new clients and depending on the size of the project a fee for an estimate.
